I’ve been so busy making things.
It’s a glorious phrase to utter, and I hope I can say that for as long as I live.
So what have I been up to?
1. A Year in Haiku
This month marks a full year of daily haiku/photos without missing a day! I often wrote poems the night before and then scheduled them to go up on Twitter, Facebook, and Tumblr the following morning at 6 or 7 a.m. Pacific Time. You can also see some of them on Pinterest and Flickr. I’m still posting daily; also now on Instagram. Please share them! It means a lot to me when you do.
2) Chapbook Making Interview
I was filmed for a BCIT interview project about people who make things with their hands. I explained how to make chapbooks (like my I Saw You Vancouver set available in my store). You can see the video on Youtube. Thanks Yan, Stephanie, and Stephanie for making me look and sound good!
3) Holiday Cards
I made Christmas cards that just arrived in the mail. If you have read my work and would like a way to support a poet, please consider ordering a card (or cards!) this year. They are $5 each including shipping. (only $5!? as they say at VanSlam). I can either mail the card to you, or I can mail it directly to a recipient of your choice. Please order soon so that the cards will arrive before the holiday of your choice.
You can order below, or look at the cards, my chapbooks, and my postcards in my store.
Obi-Wan the Wise Man. Inside: You will go to the Dagobah System Happy Holidays!
Frozen Tree. Inside: Merry Christmas!
That’s my most interesting news for now! Thanks so much for reading. Please like or comment (here and on my poems) so that I know you’re reading. Share the feels!
